South Central Railway Unveils Special Train Services for Sabarimala Pilgrims This November

To help manage the large number of devotees traveling to Sabarimala, the South Central Railway (SCR) has announced special train services between Charlapalli and Kottayam later this month. These trains are introduced to improve travel among several destinations for the pilgrims without any inconvenience.

Sabarimala Special Trains

• According to SCR officials, Train No. 07115 Charlapalli-Kottayam Special will run on November 24 (Monday), and the return service, Train No. 07116 Kottayam-Charlapalli Special, will operate on November 25 (Tuesday). Both trains will have only 3AC coaches to offer comfortable travel for pilgrims.

• Moreover, SCR has extended several other special train services to accommodate devotees traveling during the Sabarimala pilgrimage season. Train No. 07191 Kacheguda-Madurai Special will run on Mondays from December 1, 2025, to January 19, 2026, and the return train, No. 07192 Madurai-Kacheguda Special, will operate on Wednesdays from December 3, 2025, to January 21, 2026.

• Train No. 07193 Hyderabad-Kollam Special will run on Saturdays from December 6, 2025, to January 17, 2026, and the return service, No. 07194 Kollam-Hyderabad Special, will operate on Mondays from December 8, 2025, to January 19, 2026.

• Similarly, Train No. 07230 Hyderabad-Kanniyakumari Special will run on Wednesdays from December 3, 2025, to January 21, 2026, while the return train, No. 07229 Kanniyakumari-Hyderabad Special, will run on Fridays from December 5, 2025, to January 23, 2026.

• Train No. 07219 Narsapur-Tiruvannamalai Special will run on Wednesdays from December 3, 2025, to January 21, 2026, and the return service, No. 07220 Tiruvannamalai-Narsapur Special, will operate on Thursdays from December 4, 2025, to January 22, 2026.

Major Stations to Stop By

The special trains will stop at several major stations, including Bhongir, Jangaon, Kazipet, Warangal, Mahbubabad, Dornakal, Khammam, Madhira, Kondapalli, Vijayawada, Tenali, Bapatla, Chirala, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur, Renigunta, Tirupati, Chittoor, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Podanur, Palakkad, Thrissur, Aluva, and Ernakulam Town in both directions.
