The introduction of this train provides passengers with a direct connection between two important cities that previously required travelling through connecting trains. The service is expected to be especially useful for devotees visiting Varanasi, the birthplace of Sant Guru Ravidas, as well as people travelling between Punjab and eastern Uttar Pradesh.

The Sant Ravidas Express will cover a distance of over 1,000 km and will stop at several major stations, including Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Ambala Cantt, Saharanpur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Lucknow, Sultanpur, Jaunpur City and Varanasi.

The train consists of 18 coaches, including AC and non-AC passenger coaches. It will have AC 2-tier and AC 3-tier coaches, sleeper coaches, general second-class coaches, and a coach facility for persons with disabilities. The service also includes modern passenger facilities and improved safety features.

How will this New Train Benefit Passengers?

Railway officials said the new service will strengthen connectivity between the two regions and make long-distance travel more convenient. The train is also expected to support religious tourism and provide easier travel options for thousands of passengers.
