The Republic Day Parade 2025 is just around the corner, and the excitement is building up for the grand event. Every year, states, Union Territories, and Central Government ministries showcase their vibrant floats as part of the Republic Day celebrations on the duty path. This year, the theme of the Republic Day Parade is 'Golden India: Heritage and Development.' The parade will take place on January 26, 2025, and promises to be a spectacular display of India's rich history and its progress.

The Ministry of Defence has taken several steps this year to enhance the quality of the floats. A meeting was held at the senior officers' level in April 2024 to discuss ideas for improving the displays. The final themes for the floats were chosen based on suggestions received from various states and Union Territories.
In total, 15 states and Union Territories will present their floats on Republic Day, and these include Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Tripura, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal.
Additionally, 11 ministries and departments of the central government have been selected to display their floats. All states and Union Territories, whether selected for the duty path or not, have been invited to showcase their floats at the 'Bharat Parv' festival, which will take place at the Red Fort from January 26-31, 2025.
