Central Railway has introduced many special trains from the Pune division to handle the rising number of passengers during the summer travel season. These trains will run from late April through May, June, and even mid-July. They will depart mainly from Pune Junction and Hadapsar, which is about 7.5 km

away, and connect to major destinations including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi, West Bengal, and different parts of Maharashtra.
Pune Special Trains
• For passengers travelling to West Bengal, a few special trains are available in April. One train from Pune to Howrah will run on April 26 in the afternoon. Another train from Pune to Santragachi near Kolkata will depart on April 25 in the morning, with a return journey from Santragachi on April 27.
• Daily trains are available for Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. A Pune to Gorakhpur train runs every day until April 30 in the morning. Another daily service from Pune to Danapur will continue till July 15, leaving in the afternoon. Return trains from Gorakhpur and Danapur to Hadapsar also run daily, ensuring regular travel options. There is also a Pune-Ghazipur City train running on certain days each week.
• For travel within Maharashtra, two weekly trains run from Pune to Nagpur, one on Tuesdays and another on Wednesdays, continuing until mid-July.
• Passengers can also travel to Prayagraj and Jhansi from Hadapsar through weekly services that will run until July. Similarly, a weekly train connects Pune to Delhi's Hazrat Nizamuddin station, with return services on Saturdays.
• There are also special trains between Hadapsar and Muzaffarpur in Bihar running weekly, with return services available.
These special trains will be especially helpful for people travelling to their home states during elections in several regions. Passengers should check their boarding point carefully before travelling, as some trains start from Hadapsar instead of Pune station.
