The Indian Railways has announced special train services between Podanur and Kharagpur in West Bengal to handle passenger rush, reduce crowding, and make travel more convenient.

Podanur-Kharagpur Special Train
Two special trains will run from Podanur Junction to Kharagpur Junction. The first train, numbered 06011, will depart from Podanur at 6:30 am on April 21. The second train, numbered 06065, is scheduled to leave Podanur at 11:00 pm on April 25. These trains are expected to help passengers travelling towards eastern India, especially during busy travel periods.
Kharagpur-Chennai Special Train
Similarly, two special trains will also operate in the return direction, from Kharagpur Junction to Chennai Beach. Train number 06012 will depart from Kharagpur at 8:00 pm on April 22. Another train, numbered 06066, will leave Kharagpur at 3:30 pm on April 27.
Why are these Trains Important?
These special train services have been arranged to meet the rising demand for travel and to provide relief to passengers who may otherwise face difficulty in getting confirmed tickets. By adding these extra trains, the Railways aim to ensure smoother travel and reduce overcrowding in regular services.

Passengers are advised to check the train timings and availability in advance and plan their journey accordingly. These trains will provide an additional travel option for people travelling between the southern and eastern parts of the country.
