The Bihar government has announced an important step in improving Patna's transport system. A new metro station will provide a direct link to a multi-modal parking facility near Patna Railway Junction. This initiative, part of the Smart City Scheme, aims to make travel easier by allowing commuters to park their vehicles and switch to the metro smoothly.

Multi-Modal Parking for Better Convenience
The multi-modal parking is set to open in February and will be located opposite New Market. The first and second floors of this parking facility will accommodate 225 cars, providing a hassle-free experience for daily commuters. This initiative is expected to encourage public transport use by offering a smooth transition from private vehicles to the metro.
Patna Metro Project Moving Forward
The construction of Patna Metro stations is progressing well, with completion expected by August 15. The metro project includes 22 stations, marking a major step in improving urban transportation in Bihar's capital. The Metro Board is also working on additional facilities to make travel more convenient for passengers.
Smart Parking Expansion at Patna Junction
To further improve parking facilities, authorities are planning to introduce smart parking at Patna Junction. Currently, there is space for 3,000 vehicles on railway land near the station. A new parking facility will add 2,000 more spots, increasing the total parking capacity to 5,000 vehicles.
New Parking Facility in Mithapur
Another new parking lot is being developed in Mithapur, which will be linked to the main parking lot at Patna Junction. This expansion will help residents by providing ample parking and direct access to the metro, making travel more efficient.
A Step Towards a Smart and Sustainable City
The integration of Patna Metro with multi-modal parking is a smart move to improve urban transport. By making public transport more accessible and reducing dependence on private vehicles, the Bihar government is taking an important step towards a modern and well-planned city.
