Visitors heading to important religious places in Patna like Takht Harimandir Sahib and Patnadevi temple will soon enjoy smoother travel and better parking options. A new multilevel parking facility is being built at Kangan Ghat to support pilgrims and tourists. This project, started by the Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation (BSTDC), is expected to solve long-time parking problems in the area.

Better Access to Holy Sites
The new parking structure will make it easier for devotees to visit sacred spots such as Takht Shri Harimandir Sahib, Kangan Ghat Gurudwara, Ballila Gurudwara, and the Patnadevi temples. It is expected to reduce the struggle of finding parking, especially during busy religious gatherings. The project is not only helpful for the public but also improves the entire area by reducing traffic jams and providing better access to the temples.
Modern Design with Spiritual Touch
The parking facility will cover 19,000 square meters and will be built in a G+3 (Ground plus three floors) format. It is designed in a way that matches the peaceful atmosphere of Patna Sahib. Once completed, it will be able to hold up to 450 cars, making it one of the largest such facilities in the city.
Project Details and Timeline
The total cost of the project is ₹99.26 crores, and it is expected to be completed in two years. This construction is being carried out under a special instruction from the Bihar Tourism Department, which aims to improve tourism and infrastructure near holy places.
Modern Features for a Better Experience
The facility will include useful modern features such as car lifts and passenger elevators. These will help drivers and visitors move easily between the parking levels. With these additions, the new parking center is expected to provide a smooth and safe experience for everyone.
Positive Change for Pilgrims and the City
Officials believe that the new multilevel parking will bring a big change in how visitors experience Patna's religious sites. It will support the city's plan to grow as a major destination for spiritual tourism. At the same time, it will also help local people by making roads less crowded and providing organized vehicle parking.
The new parking facility near Kangan Ghat is a much-needed development for Patna City. It is a step toward making the pilgrimage experience better for thousands of devotees and improving traffic and infrastructure around Patna Sahib. The project reflects the government's efforts to support both spiritual visitors and the city's growing needs.
