The much-anticipated Noida International Airport, also known as Jewar Airport, is almost ready. Passenger services are expected to start in October. This airport will be the largest in India when completed and will be the third major airport in the National Capital Region (NCR) after Delhi Airport and Hindon Airbase in Ghaziabad.

2. VIP Access Road: A special road for VIPs is being constructed to provide secure and convenient access from the Yamuna Expressway to the airport. This road will be used by dignitaries and for emergencies.
3. Greenfield Expressway: A 31-kilometre expressway is being built to connect the airport directly to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway at Ballabhgarh. Additionally, NHAI is constructing an 8-lane, 750-metre road to link the expressway to the airport. Four lanes of this road are expected to be operational by June 15th, with the remaining four lanes ready by August 15th.
Rail Connectivity
To further enhance connectivity, a Rapid Rail-cum-Metro Rail system is being developed. The Detailed Project Report (DPR) for this system has been approved and sent to the government for funding recommendations. This new rail system will make it easier for passengers to travel to and from the airport.
Future Transport Plans
The airport's connectivity plans don't stop with roads and rail. A study is underway to explore the feasibility of implementing pod taxis and monorail systems. These innovative transport options may take up to two years to materialize but promise to offer modern, efficient ways to travel within the airport region.
