The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has announced the addition of 90 special buses to handle the increased travel demand during the Onam festival.

These services will operate from Bengaluru to Kerala between Tuesday and Thursday, with return trips scheduled for Sunday, September 7, from various locations in Kerala back to Bengaluru.
The special services will depart from Mysuru Road and Shantinagar bus stations, offering travelers convenient and premium travel options. To make the journey more affordable, KSRTC is providing a 5% discount for group bookings of four or more passengers, along with a 10% discount for customers booking both onward and return tickets together.
Online Ticketing and Offers
Passengers can easily book their tickets online through the official KSRTC website at ksrtc.karnataka.gov.in, allowing them to reserve seats in advance while making use of the festive discounts. This ensures a smooth and hassle-free travel experience during the Onam season.
The introduction of additional buses highlights KSRTC's proactive approach in managing the expected surge in passenger traffic. By expanding service availability, the corporation aims to ease congestion and offer greater flexibility for festival travelers.
This initiative reflects KSRTC's commitment to passenger convenience during peak travel times. With both fare discounts and an increased number of services, the transport body seeks to encourage more people to choose public transport for their holiday journeys.
Overall, the move is set to significantly streamline travel between Bengaluru and Kerala during Onam, reinforcing KSRTC's efforts to efficiently address seasonal travel demands.
