In order to meet the increasing passenger demand during this festive season, the Southern Railway has scheduled special train services for the upcoming Onam festival. The purpose of the Onam special train is to make travelling easy and enjoyable for individuals who want to spend the festival with their loved ones across the nation.

In anticipation of the forthcoming Onam season, the Southern Railway has scheduled special train services along the Chennai-Ernakulam, Tambaram-Mangaluru, and Kochuveli- Bengaluru sectors. Seat reservations for trains departing from Tambaram and Chennai have already begun.
Onam is a significant festival celebration in Kerala, a state in the south of the country, although it has gained significance and appeal throughout. People are far more likely to travel to their hometowns or take vacations at this time to enjoy the festival with their families.
The Southern Railway has announced special train services to meet the demands of the customers in response to this increase in demand. These extra services will make it easier on the regular rail services and make sure that everyone's travel goes more smoothly.
