Offline Registration Resumes For A Smoother Char Dham Pilgrimage

A new system for Char Dham Yatra registration introduces time slots for pilgrims, easing congestion and improving the experience. Offline registrations are now available in Haridwar and Rishikesh.

The authorities have implemented a new system to ensure smoother registration for the yatra, with designated time slots for different groups of pilgrims. This measure aims to alleviate congestion and provide a more efficient and organized process for all participants. Pilgrims can now register offline at specified locations in Haridwar and Rishikesh, allowing them to embark on the sacred journey to the Char Dham shrines with ease and convenience. The resumption of offline registrations has been welcomed by pilgrims who were eager to commence their spiritual journey. With the new system in place, authorities are working towards a more seamless experience for all individuals undertaking the Char Dham yatra, ensuring that the pilgrimage remains a cherished and accessible tradition for devotees.

Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey stated, "This time, better arrangements have been made at offline registration centres in Haridwar and Rishikesh." He added that 14.3 lakh pilgrims have already visited the Char Dham yatra, and around 25,000 backlog registrations from both centres have been cleared.

With the prompt response from the authorities, the situation has been effectively managed. It is reassuring to know that the allocated quota for vaccinations at the centers can be adjusted accordingly to accommodate the crowd as needed. This flexibility demonstrates a proactive approach to ensure that everyone has access to the vaccination services without facing any unnecessary delays or inconvenience. The swift action taken by Pandey and the authorities reflects a commitment to public health and safety. By staying responsive to the evolving needs of the community, they are fostering a sense of confidence and reliability in the vaccination process, ultimately contributing to the overall success of the vaccination campaign.

Previously, the offline registration centre was moved to Rishikul Ground from the district tourism office due to mismanagement issues. DM Haridwar Dheeraj Singh Garbyal mentioned that medical teams with ambulances have also been deployed at the offline centres. Medical checkups of pilgrims are being conducted before they start the yatra.
