The third edition of the North Malabar Travel Bazaar (NMTB) is set to take place on November 15 and 16, 2025, at Kannur International Airport. Organized by the North Malabar Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with local tourism bodies, the event aims to showcase the region's vast tourism potential.
Over 100 tourism-related businesses-including hotels, resorts, homestays, and travel agencies-will participate in the event. Around 500 tour operators from across India are expected to attend, engaging in B2B meetings to explore new collaboration and partnership opportunities.
Promoting Tourism in North Malabar
T.K. Ramesh Kumar, President of the North Malabar Chamber of Commerce, highlighted that the previous editions of the event significantly contributed to promoting tourism and business in the region. C. Dinesh Kumar, Managing Director of Kannur International Airport, emphasized the airport's ongoing initiatives to enhance air connectivity and improve amenities for visitors.
Siji Nair, CEO of the North Malabar Tourism Organisation, added that the travel bazaar will be an inclusive platform welcoming tourism operators of all scales. As part of the event, a dedicated workshop on marketing strategies for tourism products will be conducted to support and educate aspiring tourism entrepreneurs.
Exploring Diverse Tourism Circuits
The Travel Bazaar will focus on prominent tourism circuits in north Malabar. Planned seminars will cover topics such as spiritual tourism, cruise experiences, health and wellness retreats, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), and wedding tourism. Cultural programs will provide visitors with the opportunity to engage with local traditions.
On the second day, the event will open its doors to the general public, allowing free entry with prior registration. Attendees will also have access to special travel packages at discounted prices to encourage exploration of the region.
