Noida to Get New Times Square Style Makeover, a Cultural Hub, New Expressway; Check Details

Noida is getting ready for a big change with new roads and exciting public spaces. The city will soon have a cloverleaf interchange near the Mahamaya flyover and a Times Square-style cultural area in Sector 18. These projects will not only improve traffic but also make Noida a more attractive place for both residents and visitors.

Noida to Get Own New Times Square

New Cloverleaf Interchange to Improve Traffic

The new cloverleaf interchange will connect the under-construction Chilla Elevated Road with a new expressway running along the Yamuna Pushta Road. This project will help vehicles directly reach the Yamuna Expressway without traffic delays. An official from the Noida Authority shared that the design will be similar to the cloverleaf near AIIMS in Delhi. It will allow traffic to move more smoothly and quickly across Noida.

Chilla Elevated Road Nearing Completion

The Chilla Elevated Road is 5.9 kilometers long and has six lanes. It is being built with a budget of Rs 892 crore. Once ready, it will reduce the traffic jams at Noida's entry point and provide a direct connection from Mayur Vihar to the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. This will make travel easier for thousands of daily commuters.

New Expressway from Kalindi Kunj to Yamuna Expressway

Another major project is the planned expressway between Kalindi Kunj and the Yamuna Expressway. This road will offer a faster route for people going from Delhi and Haryana to Agra, Lucknow, and the upcoming Noida International Airport. It will also help vehicles coming from Agra and Greater Noida to reach Delhi smoothly without using the crowded Noida Expressway.

Road from Sector 94 to the Airport

A new road from Sector 94 is also being planned. It will have six elevated lanes and eight lanes on the ground. This road will be useful for reaching the new Noida International Airport easily. These new projects will help reduce pressure on the already busy Noida Expressway.

Looking for Support from NHAI

To build the new expressway, the Noida Authority is talking to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). If NHAI agrees, the expressway could become a national highway. If not, Noida, Greater Noida, and Yamuna Expressway authorities will work together to build it.

Noida's Times Square in Sector 18

Besides roads, Noida is also planning a cultural upgrade. A part of Sector 18 will be turned into a lively pedestrian zone, like New York's Times Square. The project will cover 6,500 square feet and cost Rs 10 crore. It will have large LED screens for live broadcasts, a chroma and video wall, a children's play area, and seating and standing areas for visitors. This new space will be a fun place for families and tourists.

With better roads and a brand-new cultural space, Noida is moving towards a brighter future. These projects will help people travel easily, reduce traffic problems, and make the city a more enjoyable place to live and visit.
