The Indian Railways is ready to launch the new Vande Bharat Sleeper train on different routes, including the popular New Delhi to Pune route. This new train service will make travel between these two major cities faster, smoother, and more comfortable for passengers.

The Vande Bharat Sleeper train will cover a distance of 1589 kilometers in just 20 hours. It will be the fastest rail option on this route, with a maximum speed of 160 kilometers per hour. The train will start its journey from New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS) and will stop at important stations like Mathura, Agra Cantt, Gwalior, Bhopal Junction, Khandwa, and Bhusaval Junction before reaching Pune Junction.
Different Coach Options for All Travelers
This new train is not only about speed but also about comfort. It will have a total of 16 coaches, including:
- 11 AC 3 Tier coaches
- 4 AC 2 Tier coaches
- 1 First Class AC coach
These different coach options will give passengers the freedom to choose their preferred level of comfort and budget. The expected ticket prices are:
- Around ₹2500 for AC 3 Tier
- About ₹4000 for AC 2 Tier
- Nearly ₹5000 for First Class AC
Convenient Timings for Passengers
The train is expected to depart from New Delhi Railway Station at around 4:30 PM and reach Pune Junction by 1:00 AM the next day. On the return journey, it will leave Pune at around 3:00 PM and arrive in New Delhi at 11:30 AM the following day. These timings have been planned carefully to suit the needs of travelers, giving them more time at their destination.
