Gurugram: New 4-km Road to Connect City's Heart to Dwarka Expressway in Just 10 Minutes

Residents of Gurugram can soon enjoy a smoother drive as a new road is set to connect Sector 12 CRPF Chowk to Gaushala Chowk. This much-needed 4-kilometre route aims to reduce traffic congestion and improve connectivity with Dwarka Expressway. The plan brings hope for faster travel and better access for lakhs of residents and visitors in the area.

Road from Gurugram to Dwarka Expressway

Najafgarh Road Reopens After 30 Years

One of the highlights of this development is the reopening of the Najafgarh Road, which had been shut for over three decades. This long-awaited reopening is being driven by MLA Mukesh Sharma and Municipal Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya. Both leaders visited the site on June 3rd and reviewed the progress with officials.

Better Travel Time to Dwarka Expressway

The proposed new road will link old Gurugram directly to the Dwarka Expressway. Once ready, it will reduce the travel time between the bus stand and Dwarka Expressway to just 8 to 10 minutes. At present, the same trip can take up to 40 minutes to an hour due to traffic jams and long detours.

This new link will make travel easier for people living in sectors 4, 5, 6, 7, 8-9, 12, 21, 22, and 23. It will also help devotees visiting the Sheetla Mata Temple from Haryana and Delhi by offering them a faster and more convenient route.

Direct Relief for Over 5 Lakh People

The road will bring a major change for people in areas like Carter Puri, Sheetla Colony, Sai Kunj, and New Palam Vihar. It will help them reach important places like the bus stand, Sheetla Mata Temple, Sector-6 turn, Sector-5 Chowk, and Palam Vihar Phase-2 and Phase-3 with less trouble.

Currently, those travelling from Sector 12 to Dwarka Expressway must take a roundabout route of nearly nine kilometres. This path includes eight traffic-heavy points that cause long delays. The new road is expected to reduce this burden and save valuable time for commuters.

Step Towards Better Infrastructure

This road project is an important part of improving Gurugram's infrastructure. By making travel easier and faster, it will improve daily life for residents and reduce stress on the roads. As Dwarka Expressway continues to expand, this new road will fit right into the larger goal of better city connectivity.
