South Central Railway has extended the special train service between Narasapur and SMVT Bengaluru to help passengers facing heavy rush during the peak travel season. The decision is taken due to crowded regular trains running on this route, long waiting lists, and high demand for tickets.

Narasapur-Bengaluru Special Train
According to the latest announcement, Train No. 07153, the Narasapur-SMVT Bengaluru special train, will now run on June 26, 2026. In the return direction, Train No. 07154 from SMVT Bengaluru to Narasapur will operate on June 27, 2026. Railway officials said the extension is aimed at giving relief to passengers and improving ticket availability on this busy Andhra Pradesh-Bengaluru corridor.
Major Stoppages
The train will pass through several important stations, including Renigunta, Melpakkam, Katpadi, and Jolarpettai, before reaching Bengaluru. The return journey will follow the same route in reverse. These halts are expected to benefit passengers from multiple towns and cities along the route.
How will it Benefit Commuters?
Railways believes the additional service will reduce pressure on existing trains and make travel more comfortable during the busy summer period. Many passengers travelling for work, education, family visits, and vacations are expected to benefit from the extra service. The extension will also help travellers get confirmed tickets more easily and avoid last-minute travel stress.
Officials added that the special train service is part of Indian Railways' ongoing efforts to manage seasonal travel demand and improve passenger convenience on heavily crowded routes.
