The Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) will introduce a fourth trainset on the Namma Metro Yellow Line from September 10, offering much-needed relief to passengers, especially those travelling to and from Electronics City. It will improve service frequency, reducing waiting times from the current 25 minutes to approximately 19

minutes on all days. Officials confirmed that the train will start operations after completing all required tests.
New Schedule for Bangalore's Namma Metro Yellow Line
With this new train, BMRCL has also updated the operational schedule. These timings are expected to be beneficial for the early commuters, including school students and corporate professionals. The Yellow Line, which carries around 80,000 passengers at present, will make commuting easier with the increased crowds in the city.
• From Monday to Saturday, services will begin at 6 am, which is half an hour earlier than the previous 6.30 am start.
• On Sundays, the first service will still start at 7 am.
• The last train timings will still be the same, 11.55 pm from R. V. Road and 10.42 pm from Bommasandra.
The 19-km Yellow Line, which connects R V Road and Bommasandra via Electronics City with 16 stations on the route, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 10. Serving one of Bengaluru's key IT hubs in South Bangalore, the line has been eagerly awaited by commuters. Moreover, a fifth trainset is expected to start its operation from Titagarh by September 19, and a sixth trainset is scheduled to arrive by the end of October. These developments are considered instrumental in serving the city's residents for daily commutation without hindering any urgent chores.
