Mumbai commuters can now enjoy a smoother metro travel experience with the launch of the OneTicket App. It allows passengers to book their entire metro journey with just one ticket, even if they switch between different metro lines. Developed by SequelString with support from Mumbai Metro One, the app runs

on the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) platform, ensuring easy connectivity between commuters and metro services.
Emergence of OneTicket App
The OneTicket App was first introduced as a pilot project on Metro-3 in June 2025. It uses QR codes for quick and hassle-free entry at metro stations to meet commuters' needs, as Mumbai's metro network is expanding rapidly from the current 70 km to a planned 340 km, and different operators manage different lines. Earlier, passengers had to buy multiple tickets, which was both confusing and time-consuming. The unified ticketing system solves this issue by providing a single digital ticket for the whole journey.
Usage of the OneTicket App
The app is simple to use and available on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. To book a ticket, commuters need to download the app, sign up with their mobile number, select starting and ending stations, choose the number of tickets (up to four), and make the payment through UPI, debit, or credit card. After payment, a QR code is generated, which can be scanned at the metro gates for entry.
By this Dussehra, Mumbai is also expected to get the fully underground Metro-3 Aqua Line, stretching 33.5 km from Colaba to Seepz, which will further improve travel between South Mumbai and the suburbs. Phases one and two of Metro-3 are already operational, while the final phase is under construction and is expected to open soon.
