Significant Increase in Pilgrims

There is an anticipated 157% year-on-year increase in Haj pilgrims traveling through CSMIA in 2024, compared to 12,815 pilgrims in 2023. Departure flights commenced on May 25th and will continue until June 12th, with returning pilgrims expected to arrive in July 2024.

Additional Ferry Flights Scheduled

To manage the increased pilgrim traffic, 101 additional ferry flights for departures and arrivals have been scheduled. Saudia Airlines will handle the official Haj movement from CSMIA during the peak period.

Enhanced Facilities for Haj Pilgrims

CSMIA is also enhancing its facilities and services at Terminal 2 to ensure a comfortable and seamless experience for all Haj pilgrims. This preparation underscores the airport's importance as a major departure hub for the Haj pilgrimage in India.
