Mumbai's metro travel is about to become much more convenient as Metro Lines 2A and 7 will soon support paperless ticketing on many mobile apps. These two corridors, which run from Dahisar to Gundavali, are managed by the Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Limited (MMMOCL). Once the system is launched,

they will join Metro Line 1 and the new underground Metro Line 3 in offering digital ticket options.
MetroOne App
Currently, commuters on Lines 2A and 7 can buy tickets only through the MetroOne app or via WhatsApp. But after the upgrade, passengers will be able to purchase tickets using a wide range of apps like EaseMyTrip, RedBus, Tummoc, Yatri, ConfirmTkt, Ixigo, Navi, OneTicket, RedRail, Tripozo, Highway Delite, Vodafone Idea, and even through a Telegram-based service called Miles & Kilometres. Apps like PayTM, Uber, and Rapido will also become available soon.
Metro Operators
This expansion has been made possible because all three metro operators: MMOPL (Metro 1), MMMOCL (Metro 2A & 7), and MMRCL (Metro 3) are now connected to the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC). ONDC allows mobility services to appear on many apps instead of limiting users to just one official platform.
More metro corridors will join this system in the coming months. As new sections of Lines 2B, 4, 4A, and 9 start operating, their digital ticketing options will also be added to these apps.
Metro Line 1 Tickets
Metro 1 already offers paperless tickets on several platforms like its website, WhatsApp, Vodafone Idea, MumbaiOne, NAVI, Ixigo, OneTicket, RedBus, Tripozo, PayTM, and PhonePe. It recently partnered with Uber so that passengers can buy Blue Line tickets directly from the Uber app.
Metro Line 2 Tickets
Metro Line 3 also supports digital tickets through MetroConnect3, WhatsApp, MumbaiOne, RedBus, EaseMyTrip, Tummoc, Yatri, and other apps. The goal behind these changes is to make metro travel smoother, faster, and completely digital for Mumbai commuters.
