Mumbai Metro Expansion: New Metro Routes Announced to 4 New Stations

Mumbai is set to see a major improvement in its public transport system with the construction of four new metro lines. The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has announced these projects to make commuting easier and faster for residents. These new lines will enhance connectivity across the city and nearby areas like Navi Mumbai and Thane.

Mumbai Metro Expansion to 4 New Station

With a budget of Rs 40,187 crore for 2025-26, the MMRDA has allocated Rs 35,151 crore (87%) for infrastructure projects. A significant portion of this amount will be used to expand the metro network, which is expected to reduce travel time and improve public transport facilities in Mumbai.

The addition of these metro lines is a major step towards improving Mumbai's transport network. By providing faster and more efficient travel options, the metro expansion will benefit daily commuters and boost the city's economy.
