As part of these maintenance activities, Train No. 68424/68423 Cuttack-Bhadrak-Cuttack MEMU will remain cancelled on June 5, June 12, June 19, June 26, and July 3. Similarly, Train No. 68438/68437 Cuttack-Bhadrak-Cuttack MEMU will also remain cancelled on the same dates.

Why are the Cancellations Necessary?

Railway officials said that the temporary cancellations are necessary to complete the bridge reconstruction work safely and efficiently. Once the project is completed, it is expected to improve the overall safety and reliability of train services operating through the section.

Advisory for Passengers

The East Coast Railway has advised passengers to take note of these changes while planning their journeys. Travelers who regularly use these MEMU services between Cuttack and Bhadrak may need to make alternative travel arrangements on the affected dates.

Passengers have also been requested to check the latest train schedules and running status before starting their journey. For updated information, they can visit the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) or use official railway enquiry services and mobile applications.

The railway administration has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to passengers and emphasized that the infrastructure work is being carried out in the interest of safer and more efficient rail operations. Such maintenance and upgrading projects are important for strengthening railway infrastructure and ensuring smooth train movement in the long run.

Commuters are therefore advised to stay informed about the cancellations and plan their travel accordingly during the period of the ongoing bridge reconstruction work.
