Indian Railways has introduced special summer train services between Malda Town and Udhna to handle the increase in passenger travel during the holiday season, reduce overcrowding, and make long-distance travel more convenient for passengers.

Malda to Udhna Summer Special Train
The summer special trains will run with numbers 09033 and 09034 on a fixed schedule between April and July. Train number 09033 will depart from Udhna every Thursday at 11:00 pm from April 9 to July 23, completing a total of 16 trips. It will reach Malda Town at 11:00 am on the third day of the journey. In the return direction, train number 09034 will leave Malda Town every Sunday at 9:30 am from April 12 to July 26. This train will also run 16 trips and is scheduled to reach Udhna at 1:20 am on the third day.
Major Stoppages
During the journey, the train will stop at several important stations, including New Farakka, Barharwa, Sahibganj, Kahalgaon, Bhagalpur, Sultanganj, Jamalpur, and Abhaipur.
How will these Summer Special Trains Benefit Passengers?
As these trains are for long overnight journeys, they will include different types of coaches, such as air-conditioned, sleeper, and general class, to meet the needs of various passengers. The introduction of these special services is part of Indian Railways' plan to run additional trains during peak travel periods in the summer, and help passengers travelling long distances, especially those visiting their hometowns or going on vacations.
