Light to moderate rain occurred in Idukki & Ernakulam on Sunday evening, bringing relief to people, helping reduce the intense summer heat. The showers, along with cool breezes and windy conditions, gave residents a short break from the rising temperatures that had been troubling the state.

Kerala Rain & Heat Alert
However, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that this relief may not last long. The department has issued both rain and heat alerts for several districts in Kerala, indicating changing weather conditions in the coming days.
Light to Moderate Rain & Strong Winds
IMD has said that thunderstorms with light to moderate rain and strong winds of up to 40 kmph may occur in isolated areas, including Idukki, Ernakulam, and Wayanad, for the next few hours, and people are advised to remain cautious as the weather can change suddenly.
