To manage the heavy passenger rush and provide a more comfortable travel experience, the Railways has decided to operate a one-way reserved special train between Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and New Delhi on June 13. The move comes as part of efforts to handle the increased number of travellers in the Jammu Division during the busy travel season.

Katra-Delhi Special Train
According to railway officials, the special train, numbered 04632, will depart from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 6:15 pm on Saturday, June 13, and reach New Delhi at 6:30 am the following morning. The overnight service has been introduced to provide additional travel options for passengers and reduce congestion on regular trains.
Important Stoppages
During its journey, the train will halt at several important stations. It will arrive at Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan Station at 6:38 pm and leave at 6:40 pm. The train will then reach Jammu Tawi at 7:43 pm and depart at 7:48 pm. Another major stop will be Pathankot Cantt, where it is scheduled to arrive at 9:32 pm before continuing towards the national capital.
Train Features
The special train will consist of 22 coaches to accommodate a large number of passengers. These include two AC 3-tier coaches, sixteen sleeper-class coaches, and two general-class coaches. The composition has been planned to cater to travellers from different categories and budgets.
Advisory for Passengers
Railway authorities have also informed passengers that linen services, such as bedsheets and blankets, will not be provided on this train. Therefore, travellers are advised to make their own arrangements for a comfortable overnight journey.
Officials believe that the additional service will help ease passenger pressure on existing trains operating between Katra and Delhi. The special train is expected to benefit pilgrims returning from the Vaishno Devi shrine as well as other travellers heading to the capital.
