Jammu-Mumbai Summer Special Train to Manage Extra Passenger Rush & Provide Additional Options

To manage the extra rush of passengers during the summer season, the Jammu Division of Northern Railway has announced a Superfast Summer Special train between Jammu Tawi and Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) to provide additional travel options and reduce crowding on regular trains.

Jammu-Mumbai Summer Special Train

Train No. 04602 will depart from Jammu Tawi at 12:30 a.m. on June 7, 2026, and will reach Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 3:00 p.m. the following day. The train is a fully reserved Superfast Special service, and only passengers with confirmed reservations will be allowed to travel.

Train Features

The train will consist of 21 coaches to accommodate a large number of passengers. These include two First AC Composite coaches, twelve Third AC coaches, one Second AC Sleeper coach, and two coaches specially designed for Divyang (differently-abled) passengers. The railway authorities expect the additional service to provide relief to travellers heading towards Mumbai during the busy holiday period.

Important Stoppages

For passenger convenience, the train will stop at several important stations along the route. These include Pathankot Junction, Jalandhar Cantt, Ludhiana Junction, Ambala Cantt, Delhi Safdarjung, Mathura Junction, Agra Cantt, Veerangana Lakshmibai Jhansi Junction, Bina Junction, Bhopal Junction, Itarsi Junction, Bhusawal Junction, Manmad Junction, Nashik Road, Kalyan Junction, and Dadar.

The Railways has also arranged coach maintenance and water refilling facilities at key stations such as Ludhiana, Ambala Cantt, Agra Cantt, Jhansi, Bhopal, Itarsi, and Bhusawal. Passengers are advised to check the latest train schedule and reservation status before travelling. Since this is a reserved special train, travel without a valid reserved ticket will not be permitted.
