For devotees planning a peaceful monsoon trip to Mata Vaishno Devi, IRCTC has introduced a well-planned and affordable package. Starting from June 15, this four-day, three-night journey offers AC train travel, meals, and a luxurious stay in a five-star hotel - all at just Rs 1,700 per day. The round trip begins in Delhi and takes passengers to Jammu aboard the Rajdhani Express.
This package is designed to ensure that pilgrims can fully focus on their spiritual experience without worrying about travel or accommodation. With all arrangements, including transport and meals, taken care of by IRCTC, it promises a smooth and comfortable journey.
Accommodation Choices and Pricing
Travellers can choose from different accommodation options in Katra, based on how many people share a room. The price is Rs 6,990 per person for triple occupancy, Rs 8,100 for double occupancy, and Rs 10,700 for single occupancy. For children aged 5 to 11 years, the cost is Rs 6,320 with a bed and Rs 5,255 without a bed. All these prices cover the complete 4-day package.
Travel Itinerary
The tour begins with the Rajdhani Express leaving New Delhi at 8:40 PM on June 15. The train reaches Jammu at 5:00 AM the next day. Travellers are then taken by vehicle to Katra, where they check in at a five-star hotel such as Taj Vivanta. After breakfast, IRCTC provides transport to Banganga, the starting point for the climb to the shrine.
Pilgrims can walk or hire horses to reach Mata Vaishno Devi temple. After darshan, they return to the hotel for dinner and rest. On Day 3, guests check out by noon and head to Jammu by bus for sightseeing at Raghunath Temple and Bagh-e-Bahu Garden. In the evening, they are dropped at Jammu railway station.
Return to Delhi
On the final day, passengers board the Rajdhani Express at 9:45 PM from Jammu and arrive back in Delhi by 5:55 AM the next morning. With comfortable arrangements and well-thought-out planning, this package offers a relaxing way to seek blessings and enjoy the scenic beauty of the region.
