In a bid to make train travel easier and more convenient for passengers, Indian Railways has launched 10 new train services that do not require prior reservations. These new services, which begin operation today, aim to help travelers who often face challenges boarding trains without a confirmed booking. The trains will run across various high-demand routes, providing flexible travel options for passengers nationwide.

Passengers can board these trains by purchasing a general ticket at the station counter or using the UTS (Unreserved Ticketing System) app. Designed to ensure comfort, these trains feature general and chair-car coaches, making them suitable for different types of travelers.
Timings and Routes
The new services cover several key routes across the country:
- Mumbai-Pune Superfast: Departs Mumbai at 7:30 am, arriving in Pune by 11:00 am.
- Hyderabad-Vijayawada Express: Leaves Hyderabad at 7:30 am, reaching Vijayawada by 2:00 pm.
- Delhi-Jaipur Express: Starts from Delhi at 6:00 am, arriving in Jaipur by 1:30 pm.
- Lucknow-Varanasi Express: Departs Lucknow at 7:00 am, reaching Varanasi by 1:30 pm.
- Kolkata-Patna Intercity: Leaves Kolkata at 5:00 am, arriving in Patna by 2:00 pm.
Other trains will connect cities like Ahmedabad, Surat, Chennai, Bangalore, Bhopal, Indore, Patna, Gaya, Jaipur, and Ajmer, providing a wide network for passengers.
Affordable Fares
The fares for these trains are pocket-friendly to ensure affordability for all:
- Delhi-Jaipur: Rs 150 for general coaches, Rs 300 for chair-car seats.
- Mumbai-Pune: Rs 120 for general coaches, Rs 250 for chair-car seats.
- Kolkata-Patna: Rs 200 for general coaches, Rs 400 for chair-car seats.
Passengers can buy tickets at station counters, through the UTS app, or at nearby Jan Seva Kendras. These options make ticket purchase convenient and accessible for everyone.
