Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport has introduced the 'Fast Track Immigration-Trusted Traveller Programme (FTI-TTP),' a first in India. This initiative targets both Indian passport holders and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cardholders. Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the project by unveiling dedicated counters for Trusted Traveller members at Terminal 3 of Delhi Airport. The FTI-TTP aims to simplify and speed up travel for Indian nationals and OCI cardholders, reflecting the government's commitment to enhancing travel convenience.

Application Process
Eligible individuals must complete an online application to join the scheme. The registration process can take up to a month, and applicants need a passport valid for at least six months. Membership lasts as long as the passport remains valid.
Applicants must provide their biometrics, including fingerprints and a facial photograph, along with other necessary data. Registration is finalised after verifying eligibility and conducting required checks.
Benefits of the Programme
This service aims to reduce airport congestion by offering expedited emigration/immigration clearance for pre-verified travellers. Terminal 3 at Delhi Airport has eight electronic gates—four for arrivals and four for departures—to ensure a smooth experience. Additional counters may be added based on demand.
"We at DIAL are very proud to join hands with the Government of India for launching the FTI-Trusted Traveller Programme at Delhi Airport. This programme will offer a world-class and seamless travel experience to all international passengers opting for this facility. The Trusted Traveller Programme allows Indian passport holders and OCI Cardholders to utilise these e-gates, bypass regular emigration/immigration queues, and enjoy a smoother journey. This technology-driven initiative is designed to make the emigration/immigration clearance process faster and simpler," said Videh Kumar Jaipuriar, CEO of DIAL.
The FTI-TTP program is a new effort by the Indian government that promises to make travel easier, faster, and safer for Indian nationals and OCI cardholders. This scheme demonstrates the government's commitment to making travel more convenient and efficient.
By providing expedited emigration/immigration clearance for those who have undergone pre-verification, this service seeks to alleviate airport traffic congestion. To guarantee a seamless experience for participants, Delhi Airport's Terminal 3 features eight electronic gates: four for arrivals and four for departures. Demand may determine the addition of more counters.
The introduction of this programme marks a significant step towards improving travel efficiency in India. It showcases how technology can enhance passenger experiences by reducing wait times and streamlining processes.
