Hyderabad woke up to a bright and warm Thursday morning, but the day is not expected to stay uniformly sunny. After a hot first half with temperatures climbing into the mid-30s, changing weather conditions could trigger evening showers and isolated thunderstorms across parts of the city.

At around late morning, the city recorded temperatures near 33-34°C, while the RealFeel touched nearly 40°C, making conditions feel significantly hotter than the actual reading. An excessive heat alert remained in focus as dry heat and sunshine dominated the first half of the day.
Hyderabad Weather Forecast for June 4
The day is expected to begin with mostly sunny to partly sunny skies, allowing temperatures to rise steadily into the afternoon.
- Day temperature: Around 35-36°C
- Night temperature: Around 26°C
- Wind: Around 13 kmph
- Humidity: Around 47%
- Air quality: Reported in the satisfactory range
However, conditions are forecast to shift later in the day.
Between the afternoon and evening hours, cloud development may increase and scattered thunderstorms or short-duration showers remain possible across parts of Hyderabad. While rainfall may not be widespread initially, isolated pockets could witness brief but intense weather activity.
Evening Outlook: Relief After Heat?
The later half of the day could bring some relief after the daytime heat. Forecast trends indicate chances of cloud build-up from afternoon onward, with thunderstorm activity becoming more favourable toward evening and night.
Residents heading out during late afternoon may want to keep umbrellas or rain protection ready, even though large parts of the day may continue to feel dry and warm.
IMD Signals Bigger Weather Change Across Telangana
The weather pattern over Telangana is expected to become more active in the coming days.
Forecast updates indicate thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds may become more widespread across Telangana from June 6 onward. Several districts are under varying thunderstorm alerts, and temperatures across many regions are expected to gradually ease.
Meteorological projections suggest maximum temperatures could drop by around 2-4°C over the next few days as rain activity expands across the state.
For Hyderabad, that means the current stretch of heat may slowly give way to more cloud cover, evening showers and comparatively comfortable conditions heading into the weekend.
