Several parts of Hyderabad will experience scheduled power interruptions on Tuesday, July 14, as the Telangana power utility carries out feeder maintenance, repair works and tree-trimming activities across multiple localities. The planned shutdowns are aimed at improving the reliability of the electricity distribution network and ensuring safe power supply in the affected areas.
Residents in Chandanagar, Rayadurgam, Bowenpally and Petbasheerabad are advised to make necessary arrangements in advance, as electricity supply will remain suspended for a few hours depending on the location and nature of the maintenance work.

Power supply will remain suspended due to repair works on the Engineering Enclave, Gangaram and HUDA Colony feeders.

Why Is the Power Supply Being Interrupted?
According to electricity department officials, the outages have been scheduled to facilitate feeder repairs, preventive maintenance and vegetation clearance around power lines. These activities help improve network safety, minimise faults during peak demand and enhance the overall reliability of power supply.

Consumers in the affected localities are advised to charge essential electronic devices, keep power banks ready and plan activities that require uninterrupted electricity before the scheduled shutdown begins. While supply is expected to be restored after the maintenance window, restoration may vary slightly depending on the progress of the repair works. Residents are also requested to cooperate with electricity department personnel during the maintenance operations.
