Hyderabad-Mangaluru Special Train has been Announced by Indian Railways to Handle Passenger Rush

Indian Railways has announced a special train service between Hyderabad and Mangaluru Central to handle the extra passenger rush. The train will operate four round trips during this month, providing additional travel options for passengers travelling between Telangana, Karnataka, and Kerala.

Hyderabad-Mangaluru Special Train

According to a statement issued by the Palakkad Division of Southern Railway, Train No. 07097 Hyderabad-Mangaluru Central Special Express will run on Wednesdays from June 3 to June 24. The train will depart from Hyderabad at 4:20 a.m. and reach Mangaluru Central at 9:30 a.m. the following day.

For the return journey, Train No. 07098 Mangaluru Central-Hyderabad Special Express will run on Thursdays from June 4 to June 25. It will leave Mangaluru Central at 8:00 p.m. and arrive in Hyderabad at 4:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Special Train Features

The special train has been introduced to meet the increased passenger demand and offer more seats during the busy travel period. It will consist of a total of 24 coaches, including three AC 2-tier coaches, five AC 3-tier coaches, ten sleeper class coaches, four general second-class coaches, and two luggage-cum-brake vans. This composition will cater to passengers with different travel preferences and budgets.

Important Stoppages

During its journey, the train will stop at several important stations. These include Begumpet, Lingampalli, Vikrabad, Sedam, Sulehalli West, Yadgir, Krishna, Raichur, Manthralayam Road, Guntakal, Anantapur, Dharmavaram, Hindupur, Yelahanka, Krishnarajapuram, Bangarapet, Kuppam, Salem Junction, Erode Junction, Tiruppur, Podanur Junction, Palakkad Junction, Shoranur Junction, Tirur, Kozhikode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Kanhangad, and Kasaragod before reaching Mangaluru Central.

How will the Train Benefit Passengers?

Railway officials expect the special service to help reduce overcrowding on regular trains and provide a more comfortable travel experience. Passengers travelling for work, tourism, family visits, or other purposes can make use of this additional train service during June.
