Bengaluru experienced moderate to heavy rainfall early this morning, resulting in waterlogging in various parts of the city. The traffic department has issued an alert for slow-moving traffic on several key roads. Commuters are advised to stay updated and plan their travel accordingly.
On Wind Tunnel Road, traffic is moving slowly towards Kempapura due to waterlogging. Commuters are requested to cooperate and plan for delays. Similarly, Bannerghatta Road and Jayadeva Underpass are experiencing significant congestion on both sides due to waterlogging.

In Rupena Agrahara, slow-moving traffic is reported towards Silkboard. Drivers are advised to be patient and expect delays. Traffic from Thubarahalli to Kundalahalli is also slow because of a vehicle breakdown, and recovery efforts are ongoing.
Impact on Major Roads
The Outer Ring Road (ORR) is heavily delayed due to ongoing BMRCL work. Commuters are encouraged to use alternative routes if possible. Panatturu S Cross is another affected area where BBMP and railway underpass work have led to slow traffic.
At Hebbala Flyover, waterlogging has slowed traffic on both the upper ramp towards the city and the down ramp towards the airport. Other areas facing similar issues include Marathalli, Karthik Nagar, Kalyan Nagar, Puttenahalli, Varthur Kodi, and Sakra Hospital to Bellandur.
Bengaluru Weather Forecast
The IMD has forecasted generally cloudy skies with light rain for Bengaluru from August 12th to 17th. Temperatures will range between 20°C and 30°C during this period. Light rain is expected each day with temperatures varying slightly.
For instance, on August 12th, temperatures will range from 21°C to 30°C with light rain expected. Similar conditions will persist through August 13th with temperatures from 21°C to 29°C. From August 14th onwards, temperatures will hover between 20°C and 29°C with continued light rain.
IMD India Weather Update
A cyclonic circulation over northeast Rajasthan extends up to the middle tropospheric levels. A trough extends from this circulation to Bangladesh at lower tropospheric levels. The Monsoon trough is near its average position at sea level and is expected to remain there for most of the week.
Another trough extends from South Interior Karnataka to the Comorin area at lower tropospheric levels. Scattered light to moderate rainfall is anticipated over South Peninsular India throughout the week.
Rainfall Forecast for South Peninsular India
Isolated heavy rainfall is expected in Kerala & Mahe, Tamil Nadu, and North Interior Karnataka from August 12th to 15th. Rayalaseema may experience heavy rainfall on August 14th and 15th as well.
Additionally, isolated very heavy rainfall is likely in Tamil Nadu on August 14th and 15th, and in Kerala & Mahe on August 13th and 14th.
