Greater Noida is getting ready for a big transport upgrade. A new railway station will soon be built in Bodaki, designed to look like the New Delhi Railway Station. This station is part of a much larger project called the Multimodal Transport Hub (MMTH), which is being developed under the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC). Spread over 358 acres near Bodaki village, the project will improve travel and boost growth in the area.

What the Project Includes
The new railway station will have 13 platforms and will handle about 70 trains daily, including the high-speed Vande Bharat trains. This will improve rail connections between Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal. In December last year, the government declared this a "special railway project," allowing faster progress. Work on the site has already started, with the boundary wall being built as the first step.
Planning and Cost
The MMTH project is expected to cost around Rs 1,625 crore. It is a joint effort between the Central Government and the Greater Noida Authority. The land will be provided free of cost by the Greater Noida Authority, while the DMIC will handle the funding. The plan is to connect train, metro, and bus services all in one place. The project will also have coach maintenance areas and systems for water and sewage treatment. It will help reduce crowding at Delhi Railway Station and Anand Vihar ISBT.
Two Zones for Better Services
The MMTH will be divided into two main zones.
Zone 1 will include an Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT), a terminal for local buses, metro services, shopping outlets, and other commercial spaces.
Zone 2 will include the railway station, hotels, a large overbridge, multi-level parking areas, and more shops. This division will help manage both travel and business smoothly in one place.
Why This Project Matters
The new railway station and MMTH project show how Greater Noida is growing and modernizing. It will make travel easier for both residents and visitors. It will also create many jobs and give a boost to local businesses. This is not just a railway project-it is a step toward a better-connected and more developed city.
As the project moves forward, it promises to change the way people travel in and out of Greater Noida while supporting the area's growing needs.
