Ghaziabad is one step closer to solving its heavy traffic problems. A new 3-kilometre elevated road is planned along the GT Road stretch to help vehicles move faster and smoother. This project is a major development and shows the city's efforts to improve daily travel for its people.

Plan to fight traffic jams
To reduce the long-standing issue of traffic jams in the city, a 3km elevated road is being proposed. This new section will be built over the GT Road, which often faces heavy traffic. The plan is expected to make vehicle movement easier and save a lot of time for commuters.
Cost and design of the project
The UP Bridge Corporation has made a detailed project report for this elevated road. The estimated cost of the project is around Rs 650 crore. According to project manager Rajneesh Yadav, the elevated road will begin from New Bus Adda and continue till just before the Bhatia Morh rail-overbridge.
He also mentioned that the Thakurdwara flyover lies along this route. Experts will now design the elevated section in a way that it joins smoothly with the existing flyover. This careful planning shows how the new structure will be connected properly with current roads. The report will soon be sent to the UP government through the district magistrate for approval.
Need for land clearance
Before the work can begin, authorities will need to clear any encroachments on the GT Road. This will make sure that there is enough space to build the elevated section without problems. Clearing the road is an important step to move the project forward.
Support from local leaders
Ghaziabad MP Atul Garg has shown strong support for the project. He is committed to making it happen. Apart from this 3km elevated road, he also wants to redevelop a longer 14.9km stretch of GT Road, from Gyani Border to Lal Kuan. This plan will further improve road quality and traffic movement in the city.
A big step towards better roads
This 3km elevated road is part of the larger plan to fix the busy GT Road in Ghaziabad. The aim is to make travel faster, safer, and more comfortable. Once completed, this project will help thousands of people who travel on this road every day. It is a major step toward better roads and better lives for Ghaziabad's residents.
