Special Trains for Sabarimala

The special trains scheduled from Charlapalli to Kollam include Train No. 07119, which will run on December 17 and December 31, and Train No. 07121, which will run on December 20. These additional departures are meant to accommodate the heavy outbound flow of pilgrims heading toward Kerala.

For the return journey from Kollam to Charlapalli, several special trains have also been planned. Train No. 07118 will run on December 15, while Train No. 07120 is scheduled for December 19 and January 2, 2026. In addition, Train No. 07122 will operate on December 22, and Train No. 07124 will run on December 26. These trains will help pilgrims return home more comfortably after completing their visit to Sabarimala.

Reason Behind These Special Services

SCR explained that these special services are being arranged specifically for the peak pilgrimage period, when thousands of devotees travel to the Sabarimala temple. The extra trains will help manage the rush, reduce congestion in regular services, and provide a safer and more convenient travel experience.

By introducing these additional services, SCR aims to ensure that pilgrims have reliable and hassle-free travel options both before and after their journey. The railway authorities have encouraged passengers to check the schedules and plan their trips in advance, especially during the busiest days of the festival season. Overall, the initiative is expected to significantly ease travel pressure and support the large number of devotees heading to Sabarimala during this time.
