Junction will remain closed for 45 days, starting from October 6. This closure is necessary to carry out work related to the construction of a new metro station along the corridor.

Alternate Routes for Commutation

To help ease traffic movement, vehicles travelling from Ibblur towards Silk Board Junction have been advised to take alternate routes. Motorists can use the 14th Main Road flyover and continue on the main carriageway to reach the 5th Main Road Junction. Another option is to travel through the internal roads of HSR Layout to reach Silk Board and Hosur Main Road. Traffic police have urged commuters to follow these diversions and cooperate with authorities to avoid congestion during the construction period.

New Synchronisation System

In another update, people commuting through central Bengaluru can expect smoother traffic flow for the new signal synchronisation system. Anoop A. Shetty, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic West Division), recently shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) explaining how the system works. The synchronization has been introduced on key roads, such as JC Road near Town Hall Junction, NR Junction, PS Junction, and Police Corner Junction. Shetty stated that the coordinated traffic signals help motorists get green lights at multiple junctions in a row, especially during non-peak hours. He called this initiative an important step towards improving Bengaluru's traffic management and reducing delays. The new system aims to make driving across central Bengaluru faster and more convenient.
