and commuters can now buy the pass directly through the MetroConnect3 mobile app. This is the first metro line in India to offer a digital monthly pass through an app, helping passengers avoid the daily hassle of purchasing tickets.

Special Discounts

The MMRCL has announced special discounted fares for these passes. A 60-trip pass comes with a 15% discount, while a 45-trip pass offers a 10% discount. Earlier, Metro Line 3 had revised fares for persons with disabilities, and this new pass aims to extend more convenience to other frequent travellers. Since the system is completely digital, there is no need for printed tickets. Commuters only need to select their start and end stations in the app and complete the payment process.

How Can Users Make Use of It?

After buying the pass, users can activate it by scanning a QR code on their phone. This same QR code is used at the metro gates for entry and exit, helping passengers avoid long queues and save time, especially during busy hours. With regular single-journey tickets priced between ₹10 and ₹80, the monthly pass becomes a more economical option for daily travellers. For example, if a one-way ticket normally costs ₹50, the 60-trip pass will cost around ₹2,550 after the discount. The final fare varies based on distance and is shown in the app.

The monthly pass is valid for 30 days from the date of purchase or until all trips are used. It has been available since November 28. To buy it, passengers must download the MetroConnect3 app, register, choose their route, and pay using UPI or a card. Once activated, travel becomes smooth and fully digital, offering a modern and convenient experience to Mumbai Metro Line 3 users.
