The head of the Bengaluru Metro, the Managing Director of Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), recently visited the Pink Line's elevated section to assess the progress of construction. This elevated section is a key part of the new Namma Metro Pink Line, which is part of the Phase-2 expansion work in Bengaluru.

Inspection of Civil Construction Work
During the visit, he checked several aspects of the project to ensure everything was being done correctly and safely. This included inspecting the civil construction work, progress on the metro stations, the viaducts, and other key systems that are being installed as part of the project. Engineers and officials explained the status of each area and highlighted the work done so far.
Elevated Section to be Inspected
The elevated section being inspected is around 7.5 km long and runs between Kalena Agrahara and Tavarekere, featuring multiple stations. It is the first part of the Pink Line to be completed and is expected to be opened for public use earlier than the rest of the line.
Pink Line to Connect Several Areas in Bengaluru
Officials are focusing on ensuring this section meets quality and safety standards, so it can be launched for commuters as soon as possible. The Pink Line overall will connect several important areas in south and north Bengaluru and is planned to improve travel across the city by offering a fast, reliable transport option.
Once fully ready, this metro corridor is expected to reduce traffic congestion and make daily travel easier for many people in Bengaluru.
