DigiYatra, designed to streamline domestic travel, will be available at Pune International Airport's new terminal starting February 8. Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Murlidhar Mohol, will inaugurate the system. This initiative is already in place at the airport's old terminal, and all necessary approvals and technical processes have been completed for its implementation at the new location.
Union Minister Murlidhar Mohol highlighted the ongoing transformation at Pune International Airport. He stated that various upgrades are being made to improve passenger facilities. "The launch of the DigiYatra system is part of this modernisation," he said. "DigiYatra provides a fully biometric self-boarding system, allowing passengers to complete all formalities from the entry gate to boarding without hassle."

The DigiYatra service offers a seamless experience by using biometric technology for self-boarding. Passengers can handle all procedures from entry to boarding effortlessly. This innovation is part of broader efforts to modernise Pune International Airport and enhance passenger convenience.
Since its nationwide launch on December 1, 2022, DigiYatra has seen significant adoption. Over 80 lakh users have registered with the system, and more than four crore journeys have been completed using it across India. The growing number of users at Pune Airport reflects its increasing popularity among travellers.

Mohol noted that the number of DigiYatra users at Pune Airport is steadily rising. This service is expected to greatly benefit passengers travelling from the city by offering a more efficient travel experience. The introduction of DigiYatra aligns with ongoing efforts to upgrade airport facilities and services.
