Delhi experienced warm conditions, with the maximum temperature reaching 38.6 degrees Celsius, which was 3.1 degrees above normal for this time of year. According to the India Meteorological Department, the heat index, or the temperature, rose to 45.8 degrees Celsius during the evening due to high humidity, making the weather feel much hotter than the actual temperature.

Delhi Weather Alert on 15 July
For Wednesday, the weather department has forecast partly cloudy skies. The maximum temperature is expected to remain around 37 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is likely to be around 27 degrees Celsius.
The IMD has predicted that Delhi may continue to experience warm and humid conditions in the coming days. However, rainfall activity is expected to increase from July 19, with widespread showers likely across the city and nearby regions. The expected rainfall may provide relief from the ongoing heat and humidity.
Delhi Rain Alert on 19 & 20 July
The IMD has predicted isolated to scattered rainfall in Delhi and nearby areas from July 14 to July 18. Rainfall activity is expected to become more widespread across Delhi and neighbouring northwestern states on July 19 and 20, which may provide relief from the ongoing hot and humid conditions.
Advisory for Delhi Residents
The weather department has advised residents to remain cautious during the hot conditions, especially during the afternoon and evening hours when the heat impact is stronger. People are encouraged to stay hydrated and avoid unnecessary exposure to the sun until rain brings some relief.
With monsoon conditions gradually becoming active, Delhi is expected to see a change in weather patterns in the coming days, bringing cooler conditions after the rainfall begins.
