Alternate Routes for North-South Travelers
For those traveling between the northern and southern parts of Delhi, the Delhi Traffic Police have recommended an alternate route. Starting at Sarai Kale Khan on the Ring Road, the route passes through the I.P. Flyover, Rajghat, Lajpat Rai Marg, Mathura Road, and Bhairon Road. Travelers can then continue on Aurobindo Marg, Safdarjung Road, Kamal Ataturk Marg, Kautilya Marg, and Sardar Patel Marg, looping back to the Ring Road via key roads such as Prithvi Raj Road and Rajesh Pilot Marg. Additional options include using Barfkhana, Azad Market, and the Rani Jhansi Flyover.
Detours for East-West Commuters
Those commuting between the eastern and western parts of the city are advised to follow an alternative path starting at the Ring Road and moving through Bhairon Road, Mathura Road, and Subramaniam Bharti Marg. The route also includes Rajesh Pilot Marg, Prithvi Raj Road, and Vande Matram Marg, eventually reconnecting to the Ring Road via ISBT-Chandgi Ram Akhara and Mall Road. Other suggested routes include Azad Pur Ring Road and Lodhi Road, ensuring multiple options for hassle-free travel.
