Starting in June, people travelling from Delhi to Jaipur will have a faster and smoother journey. A new road will connect Bandikui on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway to the Jaipur Ring Road. This new route will shorten the travel distance by 20 kilometers and allow travelers to reach Jaipur in just two and a half hours.
Improved route for easier travel
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has confirmed that this new link will make travel easier and faster. It will provide a non-stop journey and avoid the current delays faced on older highways. Presently, people from Delhi, Gurgaon, and Faridabad have to leave the expressway at Dausa and travel on NH-21, which is a four-lane road with speed restrictions. The new 67-kilometer controlled-access highway from Bandikui to Jaipur will remove these issues.
New stretch from DND Flyway to bring more convenience
By December, another benefit will come for people travelling from Ghaziabad, Noida, and east Delhi. The first nine kilometers of the DND Flyway-KMP interchange on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway will open. With this, travelers can go from the DND Flyway to Jaipur through the Bandikui link in just two and a half hours. At present, many travelers face longer travel times due to the need to pass through towns and villages. This new road will remove such delays.
Construction work almost complete
NHAI officials have shared that only one part of the construction is left to finish-the rail overbridge on the Delhi-Ahmedabad railway line. They are hopeful that this will be completed by the end of May. If needed, they may also allow temporary traffic around the remaining one-kilometer area using a detour. This shows how the government is working to make travel better and easier for people.
Safety and quality checks before opening
NHAI chairman Santosh Yadav has asked officials to make sure everything is ready before opening the new roads. He said engineers should test the roads by driving on them and fix any problems before the public starts using them. "We cannot allow potholes and complaints after opening," he said. "It's better to delay slightly and make sure the roads are good and safe."
This new link between Bandikui and Jaipur Ring Road will make travel between Delhi and Jaipur much easier and faster.
