Delhi and nearby cities are likely to continue experiencing rainy weather on July 22, bringing relief from the recent heat. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, and Ghaziabad are expected to remain under cloudy skies with light to moderate rainfall during the day. While Delhi has

not been placed under any weather warning, heavy rainfall warnings have been issued for Gurugram and Ghaziabad, where intense showers may lead to waterlogging and traffic congestion.
Delhi Rain Alert on 22 July
The IMD has forecast temperatures in Delhi-NCR to remain between 25°C and 32°C, making the weather cooler and more pleasant compared to the past few days. The rain is also expected to improve air quality and provide relief from humid conditions. However, commuters should be prepared for slow-moving traffic, slippery roads, and delays due to water accumulation in low-lying areas.
The weather department has also predicted that the wet spell will continue over the next few days. Delhi-NCR is expected to witness cloudy skies with occasional rain or drizzle through the weekend. Although rainfall may vary from place to place, overall weather conditions are likely to remain pleasant.
Advisory for Residents
Residents living in Gurugram and Ghaziabad have been advised to stay alert, as heavy rainfall may affect normal life. People are encouraged to avoid unnecessary travel during periods of heavy rain and to follow weather updates issued by the authorities. Motorists should drive carefully, while those in flood-prone areas should remain cautious.
With the monsoon remaining active across north India, residents are advised to keep umbrellas or raincoats handy and stay updated with the latest IMD forecasts before stepping out, especially if travelling to areas under heavy rainfall warnings.
