Delhi Rain Alert: Delhi is Likely to Experience Rain and Cloudy Weather in the Upcoming Days

Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) are expected to experience cloudy skies and occasional rainfall over the next six days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The rain is likely to provide relief from the heat, but high humidity levels may continue, making the weather feel uncomfortable at times.

Delhi Rain Alert in the Upcoming Days

The IMD has forecast generally cloudy skies in Delhi throughout the prediction period. Light rain or drizzle is expected during the first two days, followed by mostly cloudy conditions for the remaining days. Recent rainfall on Wednesday brought relief to residents and reduced the minimum temperature to 25.8°C, which is about 1.5°C below the seasonal average.

Several areas of the city, including Central Delhi, Safdarjung, and Sangam Vihar, received rainfall. However, some low-lying areas reported waterlogging after the showers. The Safdarjung weather station recorded 12 mm of rainfall in 24 hours, while locations such as Palam, Ridge, Lodhi Road, and Ayanagar also recorded lower-than-average minimum temperatures. Morning humidity levels reached 90%, and the maximum temperature is expected to remain around 32°C.

In Noida and Ghaziabad, residents can expect partly cloudy skies with occasional rain or thundershowers in the coming days. Rainfall is likely on Thursday, Sunday, and Monday, while Friday and Saturday are expected to remain mostly dry. Day temperatures are likely to range between 31°C and 35°C, with minimum temperatures staying between 24°C and 25°C. Humidity levels may remain around 80%.

Among NCR cities, Gurugram is expected to receive the heaviest rainfall. The IMD has issued a weather warning for Thursday, predicting light to moderate rain, with isolated areas possibly experiencing very heavy rainfall. Temperatures are expected to remain between 32°C and 35°C, while humidity levels may rise to 85% to 90%. Residents are advised to monitor weather updates and remain cautious of waterlogging, particularly in flood-prone areas.
