Several parts of Delhi will witness scheduled power cuts on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, as power distribution companies BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL), BSES Yamuna Power Limited (BYPL) and Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL) carry out maintenance, transformer upgrades, underground cable installation and other infrastructure-related works.

The planned outages will affect localities across Chhatarpur, Nizamuddin, Tagore Garden, Palam, Nangloi, Mohan Garden, Janakpuri, Mundka and Najafgarh at different times during the day. Residents have been advised to charge essential electronic devices in advance and plan their schedules around the maintenance window.

Why Is There a Power Cut Today?
According to the power distribution companies, the outages have been scheduled to facilitate transformer-network upgrades, LT circuit maintenance, underground cable laying, tree trimming and other infrastructure improvement works. These maintenance activities are aimed at improving the reliability and stability of the electricity network across Delhi.
Advisory for Residents
Residents in the affected areas are advised to charge mobile phones, laptops and other essential electronic devices before the scheduled shutdown. Those working from home or relying on uninterrupted power should make alternate arrangements and plan daily activities according to the announced outage timings. Electricity supply is expected to be restored once the maintenance work is completed.
