The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will conduct a feasibility study to develop an integrated double-decker flyover-cum-metro corridor on the proposed Keshav Puram-Rohini Sector 34 Metro corridor. The 16.3-km route is part of Phase V(B) of the Delhi Metro expansion plan and is among the seven proposed metro corridors awaiting final government approval.

Delhi Metro's New Project to Undergo a Feasibility Study
If found feasible, the project will become Delhi's fourth double-decker flyover. Under this design, road vehicles will operate on the lower deck, while metro trains will run on the upper deck, helping save space in congested urban areas. DMRC has invited bids to appoint a consultant for conducting the study. The feasibility assessment is estimated to cost around Rs 2 crore and is expected to be completed within six months.
Delhi Metro's Keshav Puram-Rohini Sector 34
The proposed Keshav Puram-Rohini Sector 34 corridor will be fully elevated and will include 12 metro stations. It will improve connectivity to important areas such as West Shalimar Bagh, East Pitampura, Rohini Sector 16, Delhi Technological University (DTU), and Rohini Sector 29. The corridor will also offer interchange facilities at Keshav Puram on the Red Line, North Pitampura on the Pink Line, and Rohini Sector 34 on the Red Line, making passenger movement more convenient.
Delhi Metro's Double-Decker Metro Projects
Meanwhile, DMRC is progressing with three other double-decker metro projects currently under construction. The 1.4-km Bhajanpura-Yamuna Vihar double-decker viaduct on the Pink Line is expected to be completed by the end of this year. Metro services are already operating on the upper deck, while road ramps are under construction. Another 2.2-km double-decker viaduct between Azadpur and Ashok Vihar on the Magenta Line extension is also expected to be completed soon.
The 2.4-km Sangam Vihar-Ambedkar Nagar double-decker viaduct, part of the Golden Line, will be the longest among the three ongoing projects. DMRC is also developing five metro corridors under Phase IV, including Krishna Park Extension-Deepali Chowk, Inderlok-Indraprastha, Delhi Aerocity-Tughlaqabad, Saket G Block-Lajpat Nagar and the Rithala-Kundli extension of the Red Line. These projects are aiming to boost connectivity and strengthen Delhi's expanding public transport network.
