corridors under Phase V (A) of the metro expansion. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta shared this information on Thursday.

Delhi Metro Projects

Three new corridors will also be built under Phase V (A), including the Central Vista corridor from RK Ashram Marg to Indraprastha and two extensions of the Golden Line. These projects will improve connectivity across Delhi and nearby NCR cities like Faridabad, Ballabhgarh, and Noida, and make travel to the airport easier.

The total cost of these metro projects is more than ₹18,300 crore. The chief minister said that these developments will help transform the national capital into a more developed city. The expansion will improve public transport, make daily travel easier for people, reduce traffic on roads, and help lower pollution levels. The inauguration programme will take place at DDA Utsav Sthal-3 near Nirankari Mandal in Delhi.

Majlis Park-Maujpur-Babarpur Corridor

The Majlis Park-Maujpur-Babarpur corridor is 12.3 km long and has eight elevated stations. It is part of the Pink Line that currently runs from Majlis Park to Shiv Vihar. After the new section opens, the total length of the Pink Line will reach about 71.5 km, making Delhi the first city in India to have a fully operational Ring Metro. Stations on this corridor include Majlis Park, Burari, Jharoda Majra, Jagatpur-Wazirabad, Soorghat, Nanaksar-Sonia Vihar, Khajuri Khas, Bhajanpura, Yamuna Vihar, and Maujpur-Babarpur.

Deepali Chowk-Majlis Park Corridor

The Deepali Chowk-Majlis Park corridor is about 9.92 km long and will have seven elevated stations. It is an extension of the Magenta Line that runs from Botanical Garden to Krishna Park Extension. After the extension, the total length of this line will increase to around 49 km.

Elevated Section in Delhi Metro Network

One part of this corridor reaches a height of about 28.36 metres, making it one of the highest elevated sections in the Delhi Metro network. The Majlis Park-Maujpur corridor also includes a new bridge over the Yamuna River and a double-decker structure carrying both a metro line and a flyover.
