The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation is working to improve travel for commuters by developing 14 new interchange stations in its Phase III expansion, and to make switching between metro lines smoother and faster. According to reports, these new interchange stations will connect the Delhi Metro Pink Line and Delhi Metro's

Magenta Line to existing lines, including the Yellow, Red, Blue, and Violet Lines. These new routes are designed like ring corridors, helping link different parts of the city more efficiently.
Delhi Metro's Initiative
To make movement easier, DMRC plans to build foot overbridges (FOBs), ramps, underground walkways, and travelators with a total length of more than three kilometres, which will help reduce walking time and make stations more accessible, especially at busy interchange points.
Footbridge to Connect the Airport
At places like Dhaula Kuan, one of the longest foot overbridges will connect the Airport Express Line with the Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus station on the Pink Line. Since the distance between these stations is quite large, around 22 travelators will be installed to help passengers, especially those carrying luggage, to and from the airport. Some stations, such as Azadpur, Mayur Vihar Phase-I, Karkarduma, and Welcome, will have foot overbridges without travelators. Ramps will be added at stations like Netaji Subhash Place, Lajpat Nagar, and Kalkaji Mandir to improve accessibility.
At Janakpuri West, long escalators will connect the elevated Blue Line with the underground Magenta Line. DMRC is also adding colour-coded signs to help passengers, especially first-time users, find their way easily.
However, this project will improve connectivity, reduce crowding, and make metro travel in Delhi more convenient.
