Heatwave Conditions in Delhi
However, this comfort is expected to end soon. The IMD has predicted that heatwave conditions will begin on Wednesday and continue for the next few days, with temperatures climbing to 42°C, while night temperatures could stay around 22°C.
The weather in Delhi-NCR is expected to remain dry, with clear skies and no chances of rain. Winds may blow at around 11 km/h, but hot afternoon winds, known as loo, could make conditions more uncomfortable. Temperatures are likely to stay close to 40°C in the coming days. Meanwhile, air quality in the city remains in the 'moderate' category. The Central Pollution Control Board reported an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 177, which falls within the moderate range.
Authorities have advised people to stay hydrated, avoid direct sunlight during peak afternoon hours, and take necessary precautions to stay safe in the heat.
